Wage Order No. NCR-25: Minimum Wage Increase for Private Sector in the National Capital Region

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board received several wage petitions filed by various labor groups to increase the minimum wage for the employees in the private sector in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The Unity for Wage Increase Now (UWIN) proposed an increase amounting to ₱597.00, while St. Luke’s Medical Center Employees’ Association (SLMCEA), The Medical City Employees’ Association (TMCEA), St. Luke’s Medical Center Global City Employees’ Union Independent (SLMC(GC)EUI), Manila Doctors Hospital Employees’ Association (MDHEA) and Pasig Labor Alliance for Democracy and Development (PALAD) proposed a ₱750.00 increase.

The concerns were conducted at a public hearing to assess the issuance of the requested new wage. The Labor Consultation, Management Consultation and Public Hearing were held at Ichikawa Hall, Occupational Safety and Health Center, Diliman, Quezon City.

Therefore, RA No. 6727, RTWPB issued a Wage Order that approves a ₱35 daily minimum wage increase by the government, affecting a significant number of workers in the NCR.

The new daily minimum wage rates in NCR shall be as follows:

This wage increment specified herein shall be applicable to all private sector minimum wage earners within the Region, irrespective of their position, title, or employment status, and regardless of the payment method utilized.
